If you are a traveling man (or woman) like I am - chances are you look for as many discounts as you can get. Discount doesn't mean lower quality it simply means for a lower price - and there are many a sites that can be found right online. In fact, on some of these sites I found online you could save up to 75% off! That's pretty awesome if you ask me. Obviously depending on which site you go to you are going to find different prices, hotels, amenities, options, locations, etc.
Personally, I suggest finding a place by the beach because you simply cannot beat the views when it comes to the ocean and it's something that you won't ever experience anywhere else. There are going to be a few different kinds of sites online that are going to offer discount hotels in Thailand so use whatever is more comfortable for you. Frankly, I like the sites that are more like review sites that let you see what a specific hotel is really like, but they also have an area where you can search for hotels and resorts as well. So you might see something like this:
- Koh Phi Phi: Phitharom (Hotel): Perched on the edge of the jungle-y hillside above town, these charming villas exude elegance and comfort. Each has a breezy balcony, and it's just a five-minute walk down into town or to the beach. Designed to blend in with the hillside, these villas are connected by a series of steps and walkways and are fringed with bird-filled trees. Elegant rooms have polished wood floors, Zen-style furniture and good mattresses topped with neutral-toned silk bed runners. Every room has its own terrace that looks out over the sea or jungle (they aren't that private though). The highest rooms have the best views (and you'll tighten those thigh muscles as you scale the jungle to reach your place). Fresh flowers add a beautiful touch throughout.
- Hua Hin: The Captain (Hotel): Small guest house situated in the middle of the Hua Hin entertainment area. All rooms have TV and airconditioner and are cleaned for you daily. We have 6 rooms one of which is a single, the rest are double and two of these have en suite. Literally five minutes walk to a beautiful and clean beach. You are in the centre of a beautiful seaside town on the Gulf of Thailand. Hua Hin is Thailand's Royal beach resort, His Majesty The King has a palace in the town which borders on to the beach.
- Chiva-Som International Health Resort (Hotel): Set along seven acres of beach, Chiva-Som is the ultimate vacation playground for the overworked, overstressed and overpaid. The name means 'haven of life' in Thai-Sanskrit, and the staff of 200 fuse Eastern and Western approaches to wellness with planned nutrition, step and aqua aerobics, and Thai, Swedish or underwater massage. Rates include three meals per day along with health and fitness consultations, spa treatments and recreational activities. Lengthier packages are also available (up to one month), as are specialized detox and fitness regimes.
These sites are also nice because you can actually get prices, get reviews from OTHER customers who have stayed at the hotel and you can actually book your stay right on the site. This is all about convenience for someone such as yourself. This way you won't have to go to 10 different sites online to look for reviews, locations, schedules, prices, etc. You can find everything you need on these sites AND you can book your room. A lot of these hotels are absolutely beautiful so take your time and see which ones really catch your eye!
